After reading all about the fabric boutiques one could conclude that this was one such dress, but given that it was extremely well made, I highly doubt it was a make it yourself dress and that it was indeed a YSL couture piece or it was made for a customer by a high end dressmaker following the YSL pattern, using the YSL fabric
